End of Year Celebrations – Looking Forward to 2026

End of Year Reports
On Thursday, End of Year Reports for children between Pre-Primary and Year Six were shared with families through Seqta Engage. To ensure that you receive your child’s report, please be sure to have the Seqta Engage app downloaded on your phone and ensure that your login is working. If you need assistance logging in, please contact the school. 

It is essential that you read your child’s End of Year Report and celebrate the growth with your child. Please also make note of the areas where your child still has room to grow. Over the six week period, this is a great time to assist your child in these areas before school commences again next year. 

For those families with children in Year Six, or who are leaving the community at the end of the year, you are encouraged to please download your child’s report, as you will need it going forward, and at the end of the year, you will lose access to Seqta Engage. 

Information on how to read and interpret your child’s End of Year Report was shared with families on Wednesday, the 10th of December, by Mrs Tonkin. 

If you would like to speak with any of your child’s teachers about the End of Year Report, please contact your child’s Class Teacher before Wednesday 17th of December. 

2026 Staff List
We are very excited to share the 2026 Staff List with parents and carers.  

As shared earlier in the term, we are pleased to announce that Mrs Jessica Cullen and Mrs Jenny Mair-Wieman will join our staff as Kindy Class Teacher and School Psychologist, respectively, in 2026. Both Mrs Cullen and Mrs Mair-Wieman have spent time at the school already, meeting the children, staff and community and have brought a fresh outlook and lots of energy to our beautiful school.

2026 Class Lists
2026 Class Lists will be sent home to parents and carers on Wednesday, the 17th of December via email. The process to decide class lists at St Emilie’s is a very robust process in which numerous staff members in various roles and the children themselves have input. Please note that class lists when emailed home are final. 

First Day of School 2026
A reminder that the first day of school for children will be on Monday, the 2nd of February 2026. 

2026 Parent Information Evening
Please note that the 2026 Parent Information Evening will be held on Wednesday, the 4th of February, which is the third day of school in 2026. More information will be shared in the new year. 

Administration Office Opening Hours 2026
The School Administration Office will be open commencing Tuesday, the 27th of January 2026. 

School Uniform Online Orders

Uniform Requirement – Black Shoes
A reminder that the School Uniform Procedure at St Emilie’s states that children must wear full black shoes only. Coming to the end of the year, we understand when shoes start to come apart due to a year’s use or that children may have outgrown their shoes. 

At the commencement of the 2026 school year, all children must have black school shoes as per our expectations 

Appropriate Haircuts to Start 2026
This is also a good opportunity for parents and carers to be reminded of appropriate haircuts to start the year. While we understand that the school holidays may bring with it some funky haircuts, it is important for the start of the school year in 2026 that haircuts are in alignment with our School Uniform Procedure.  

Essentially, haircuts should be modest with no extremes in length or need for excessive styling with product. These types of haircuts are not in alignment with our School Uniform  Procedure and can often distract from learning.

Fee Balances
As we finish the year, it is timely for families who have remaining fee balances to close these balances for the year, unless otherwise discussed with myself. The school fees that parents and carers pay at St Emilie’s are a vital source of income for our school and ensure that we can resource the school in the best way for the children in our care. 

We recognise from time to time that families may have difficulty in paying school fees. If this is the case, I would ask that you contact the Administration Office to arrange a confidential conversation with myself. 

Year Level Reps & Parent Contact lists
2026 Year Level Reps will be confirmed this week from the nominations sent through via the Form shared with the community recently.  

2026 Year Reps will be contacted this week. 

At the same time as Year Level reps are confirmed, we will also send home Parent Contact Lists for those parents and carers who shared their details on the Form. If you did not complete the Form, another opportunity will be made available early in the new year.
