Principal's Welcome

On behalf of the staff here at St. Emilie’s Catholic Primary School in Canning Vale, I would like to warmly welcome you to our school.

St. Emilie’s Catholic Primary School is situated on Whadjuk Noongar Boodjar and we acknowledge the traditional custodians of the country on which we are located.

Since opening in 2002, St. Emilie’s Catholic Primary School has been providing a quality Catholic education for children in Canning Vale and surrounding areas for over 20 years. Established in the faith tradition of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of the Apparition, our school draws inspiration from the person of St. Emilie De Vialar and her life of courage and compassion to help those who were less fortunate than her. Our school is part of the parish of the St. Emilie de Vialar Canning Vale Parish and the parish church is located on the same block as the school.

Currently, there are around 450 children enrolled at St. Emilie’s Catholic Primary School between Kindy and Year Six and our school offers two classes in each year level. Our community is a diverse mix of people from all over the world and we celebrate the many different cultures, languages and backgrounds of our children and families.

Our school is set amongst spacious, well presented grounds and gardens with the school’s beautiful surroundings creating a peaceful, calming and tranquil setting for children to learn in a safe and nurturing environment. Our school is proud to offer a unique Australian bush play area and creek in our Early Years playground to provide opportunities for our children to create beautiful memories with nature as the perfect backdrop.

At St. Emilie’s Catholic Primary School, we offer specialist classes in Digital Technology, Health and Physical Education, Japanese Music and Science. Before and after school care is available on site and our school enjoys a strong and well established relationship with allied health services such as a Speech Pathologist and Occupational Therapist. Our children between Year Three to Year Six each have access to an iPad to complement their learning.

The motto of St. Emilie’s Catholic Primary School is ‘Growing in Grace’. This motto unites our community around a common purpose to ensure that our children grow holistically and where they can use the graces given to them by God to make the world a better place.
