ENROLMENT PROCESS:
An Application for Enrolment Form needs to be completed for each child seeking a place at St Emilie’s Catholic Primary School.
Accompanying the application form must be a copy of the child’s:
- Original Birth Certificate
- Catholic Baptismal Certificate
- Immunisation records (Australian Immunisation Register(AIR) History Statement) a photocopy is sufficient)
- Passport/Visa/Citizenship Certificate (if born ouside Australia) – including date of entry stamp
- Parents Citizenship or Visa documents if both parents were born overseas (if applicable)
- and a Parish Priest Reference (A requirement for all applications)
Please note that if your child is not an Australian Citizen the school is required to check and copy the visa details of both parent and child.
If your child is transferring from another school, a copy of their last school report is asked to be provided at interview.
Preference for enrolments will be given in the following order:
(a) Catholic students from St Emilie’s Parish.
(b) Siblings of Catholic students already enrolled in the school.
(c) Catholic children transferring from outside St Emilie’s Parish.
(d) Siblings of non-catholic students.
(e) Non-catholic students from other Christian denominations.
(f) Other non-catholic students.
Kindergarten Enrolments
- On enquiry, parents are given an ‘Application for Enrolment’ form to complete, which is then filed.
- All enrolment applications are reviewed by the Principal and Admin staff in Term 1 of the preceding year and sorted according to the enrolment criteria.
- Formal interviews are arranged and conducted with those applicants who meet the criteria, early in Term 2 of the year prior to the child commencing school.
- Successful applicants are advised by letter, mid Term 2 of the preceding year.
- Unsuccessful applicants are advised by letter and asked to confirm whether they wish to remain on a wait list.
- Confirmation of enrolment occurs when the $100 enrolment fee is received by the school. The fee is deducted from first term fees by those families taking up their placement however it is non-refundable in the event of the child not taking up the enrolment place offered.
- A Kindy Orientation Meeting for parents is held in October/November of the preceding year.

Other Year Level Applications for Enrolment
- On enquiry, parents are given an ‘Application for Enrolment’ form to complete, which is then filed.
- If places become available, parents who meet the criteria will be contacted and an interview arranged.
- An offer of a position is dependent on a position being available, whether the applicant meets the criteria and is prepared to accept the conditions of enrolment.
- If places are not available, applicants will go on a wait list.
- Interviews will be conducted by the Principal or a nominated Assistant Principal.
- If successful, the applicant will be advised.
- If unsuccessful, applicants will be advised that their names will remain on the waitlist.
- All offers are at the discretion of the Principal.
- Confirmation of enrolment occurs when a place has been formally offered and the enrolment fee is received by the school.
All applications for enrolment into St Emilie’s Catholic Primary School must be accompanied by a Parish Priest Reference (which is contained within the Enrolment document).

Payment options
Fees are to be paid as a one- off payment or in instalments however all fees must be finalised by the end of Term 3 of each year unless a direct debit system is in place or by prior arrangement with the Principal and Finance Officer. Direct debits can be made weekly, fortnightly or monthly and the Finance Officer can assist you to set this up.
Payments can be made:
- Through the school front office via cash/cheque/EFTPOS/credit card.
- Direct debit – forms can be obtained by contacting the front office.
- Bpay
If you hold a current HCC card you need to make an appointment to meet with the Finance Officer at the beginning of Term 1 to determine the discount on your tuition fee.
If you are having difficulty or running behind with a payment, you are asked to contact the Finance Officer immediately to communicate your plan for payment.
If you require a significant consideration of time to pay your fees, you are required to arrange to meet with the Principal to discuss a way forward.
