We have had a roaringingly great time at Kindy for the start of term 3! Dinosaur land saw the meat and plant eating dinosaurs vying for supremacy! Scientific theories about dinosaur extinction were discussed and we made a volcano which actually erupted! Great excitement! The children enjoyed going back to texts and connecting them with our discussions and play centres.
Our special interest investigation on Dinosaurs kept our kindy Palaeontologists very busy as they brushed and chipped away at the Dinosaur fossils!
We have been investigating the attributes of 2D shapes. We looked for shapes in the kindy environment, rolled plasticine to place around the edges of shapes and formed shapes from our bodies.
We incorporated our special interest in Dinosaurs into a maths game. The players had to roll the dice and select the corresponding shapes to build a Dinosaur! ROAR!
