Inter-School Cricket Carnival
On Tuesday 5th April, St. Emilie’s selected a boys and a girls team to compete in the Inter-School Cricket Carnival.
The event was held at Kent St. Senior High School, with Eight schools competing.
Our Girls team played in 4 matches and finished the day with a record of 2 wins and 2 losses.
Our Boys team played some unbelievable Cricket throughout the day, amassing some huge scores.
The boys piled on 260 runs in just 8 Overs in one of their victories.
They went on to win all 4 of their games and were the carnival champions.
They were fantastic in all aspects of the game.
They held their catches, they bowled well and the batting was outstanding.
The boys have now qualified for the Regional Finals, which will be played early in the 4th Term. (the winner of the Regional finals then heads to the WACA for the state finals.)
A big thank you to all the parents that turned up to support our teams and to Mrs Matkovich for giving up her time to coach the Girls.

Basketball Carnival
On Tuesday 19th October, St.Emilie’s had Three teams compete in the Lakeside Slam Series.
We were represented by Two Boys teams and a single Girls team.
In another hugely successful day for our teams, Our Boys A team and our Girls team both made the Grand Final.
The boys A team went through the day undefeated, eventually defeating Deanmore Primary School in the Grand Final.
The Girls team showed remarkable improvement with each game throughout the day.
Unfortunately they lost their Grand Final to West Leeming PS in a hard fought game.
Our Boys B team also showed great improvement and effort throughout the day.
Unfortunately they did not register a win, but displayed a terrific attitude all day long.
The Reward for our Boys Team is a position in the State Finals, which will be held at Bendat Stadium on Wednesday 24th November.
Further details to follow.
A huge thank You must also go to Mr Munro, Mrs Armistead and Ryder’s dad who helped coach the teams on the day.
We also had terrific support from our parents, which no doubt contributed to our success!
