A HUGE THANK YOU to one and all for helping to make our P&F QUIZ NIGHT on Friday evening such a great success!
To Mums, Dads, family members, friends and staff members who formed our 24 tables of 8 – it was really wonderful to have your support for what was both a fund and a fun-raiser for our whole school commuity! To see you relaxed, happy, and collectively wracking your brains for some of those tricky answers that were right on the tip of your tongue, while really enjoying each others company, was just wonderful! By all accounts, there were some impressive singing and dancing performances throughout the night (and a few that, well let’s just say, reinforced the fact that it is probably not the right time to give up day jobs just yet!)
To our P&F executive – Alison, Karen, Tina – congratulations and a special thank you on organising a fabulous event. To have secured Luff and Barber’s sponsorship, which covered Jon Lennon’s services, was a terrific idea. Jon did a really fabulous job keeping the evening rolling along smoothly, with plenty of fun in between!
To all the Mums, Dads and staff who assisted in both big and small ways, whether by attending a planning meeting; donating a prize; seeking out sponsors; chasing up prizes; buying a ticket; encouraging a friend to come along; shopping for the night; ferrying gear to the hall; decorating the hall; assisting with child-minding ; serving at the bar and more … bravo and thank you!
Meanwhile back at the Multi-Purpose Room ranch was where you would have found 53 children, half a dozen staff, beanbags, rugs, milo’s, jelly cups, fairy bread, marshmallows, colour-ins, board games and two movies! The kids were really well behaved and had a fun time together with friends and brothers and sisters at their school slumber party!
A special thank you to those who made the supreme effort to stay and pack away the hall – I was so happy and grateful when I returned after helping to bundle all our little treasures into the arms of waiting Mums and Dads. To find everything packed up and tidy was truly the best thing ever! To those who also popped back on Saturday morning to remove the bags of rubbish – your generosity of time and thoughtfulness was yet another example of what makes our school special.
