Happy 100 Days of School
We were so excited to be celebrating 100 days of school! We all dressed up as 100 year olds. It was really hard to recognise everyone behind all the hairy moustaches, big eye brows, grey hair and hair rollers!
To start off the day, we had a little parade for the rest of the school so they could see how we were dressed. They were impressed!
Everything to do with the Number 100!
In Literacy time we were given a $100 note and had to think about what we would do if we were given $100. It was interesting sharing our ideas!
We danced and sung by 1′s, 2′s, 5′s and 10′s all the way to 100. We filled out all about the Number Chart and moved the star on our number line to the number 100. We had lots of different stations that had different things to do with the number 100. We worked as a team to make a paper chain with 100 rings, we wrote the number from one to one hundred with chalk on the pavement, we played 100 bingo, we played a ‘Race to 100′ board game, we represented the number 100 using dots of paint and could count by 1, 2′s, 5′s or 10′s, we ordered numbers from one to one hundred.
At the end of the day we were exhausted from all the fun and we were ready for a Nanna nap!
We will continue counting the days of school until the end of the year! I wonder what number we will reach?
